Brooke's Dollhouse!

i Decided that I wanted to build Brooke a dollhouse, because The Little one we got her 2 years ago was just too little. She couldn't get her hands in there to play, so she took the furniture out of the house to play with it. I wanted to make her a big one so she didnt have to do that. I went and bought the wood, and called Kennys dad to see if he wanted to help build a dollhouse for his granddaughter. He said yes and we could work on it every Friday afternoon. So I made arrangements to get off every Friday at 2:00 to go work on it with him. Brooke was very excited and she was always saying, "My Grandpa's going to help me build a dollhouse!" So the first Friday came for us to start it and he backed out. I was so mad. Brooke was really excited about it and now I didnt want to let her down. I hadn't asked Kenny to help because He works alot of hours and doesn't have much free time. Now we didn't know how we were going to make it without the tools to do it. So anyway, Kenny took the wood and went to lowes and just had them cut it in sections, so we could work on it from there. that night we stayed up really late and put the main thing together. It looked like bookshelves! ( By the way, we are REALLY good at making bookshelves!) So, the next week I bought some things to make room dividers, and we went over to Kennys cousin Nathans to help us cut them to make them fit. Blah Blah Blah a month later its done! Its not fancy or anything, no windows or doors. I had a lady at my work sew these curtains that I hung up to divide the rooms up. They gave the rooms a little something extra and werent just boring walls with a door! It took alot of time, and Brooke helped me paint some of it, so she had her hand in it, and the look on her face when it was almost done was priceless! Now for as long as it stands, she will be able to tell people that her mommy and daddy built her this dollhouse. Enjoy the pics!

My new haircut!

For those who know me well, you know that I have the hardest time cutting my hair. I am very self concious when it comes to that. I have had horrible haircuts in the past and my hair takes forever to grow back! I really wanted a perm this time instead of cutting it, but it would cost 80 plus dollars to do so. And my hair doesnt hold curl very well anyway. I have pin straight hair! So anyway, I decided to just do it. I got 6 inches cut off! Thats alot for me! My hair was so long! Anyway, here are the pics

New Things!

Hmmm........ Let's see. I havent posted in long time and I am very sorry about that! I have been busy alot more than usual. I have a few projects going on. I am building Brooke a dollhouse that has turned out quite a bit bigger than I expected! She cant even see the top floor! LOL! Anyway, I think it is going to turn out nicely, but I am not expecting perfection. It is my first time building anything like that! I will post pics when its done! I also was looking for a big girl bed for Brooke because I wanted to get her out of the toddler bed which used to be her crib because I want to use it for a new baby when we make one! (cant get the recipe just right yet!) So I found an ad on ksl for a family that makes awesome beds and we decided on one for Brooke and took her to go look at the different styles. She LOVED it! And so did we! The beds were made with the nicest wood, were more than extremely sturdy, and just unique! So we ordered one and it took 2 weeks for them to build. When we brought it home, we put it together and Brooke immediately climbed in! She slept very well in it that night! We had taken her out to let her pick her own bedding for her new bed. She picked the Princess and the Frog! She loves Princess Tiana! Here are the pics of her new bed!

This is Christmas morning... She woke up at 7:30 and I asked her if she wanted t go open presents now and she said,"Santa went back to the north pole and we were sleeping!" It was so cute! The night before, we left santa a glass of milk and 3 cookies. Brooke was very excited to see that he had drank all the milk and left a half a cookie! We opened presents and my mom came at about 9 and brought the gifts from her house... Santa left her a stocking there too!

I love this smile! She got the Belle Barbie that she wanted so bad!

Kenny and his new best friend! He had no idea he was getting this! I got him a few games to go with it. His XBOX gave up a few months ago, so I figured that this was his relaxation tool. He absolutely LOVED it! I heard thank you about 30 times that day!

Brooke is 3!!!

I can't believe Brooke is 3 now! it doesn't seem like that long ago since she joined our family, but we are so glad she did! She is our pride and joy and there is not a day that goes by that she doesn't make us laugh! She is a very logical thinker and catches us off guard most of the time! She loves to dress up in pretty dresses and spin around, she absolutely LOVES make up and is actually pretty good at putting it on! She is amazing! This year, she wanted to have a princess party. Bea and Heather came over the night before and help me decorate. They did and awesome job! I ordered a princess cake for her and she absolutely adored it! She loves shoes, so I had The bakery put a cinderella shoe on the cake as well as the princesses. It was so cute! We had all of the kids make edible magic wands with pretzel rods, candy melts and sprinkles! It was an adorable idea! Here are some of the pics from her party:

Grammy got her this battery powered 4 wheeler! Its a disney princess one and she loved it!
