Brooke's 2 year check up!

We took Brooke in for her 2 year check up on December 29th. She now weighs 26 lbs. and is 35 1/2 inches tall! She is in the 84th percentile for height and 44th for weight! Tall and skinny! Her pediatrician said that her speech is very advanced for a 2 year old, and that she seems to be a very smart little girl! Yay! While we were talking to her doc, Brooke was sitting on the bench putting her shoes on, and the doc was so amazed that she could do that and she had them on the right feet! I never thought anything of it, because she has been putting her shoes on by herself for about a year now, I then realized that i couldn't remember the last time she had them on the wrong feet unless they didnt have buckles! (That is a little harder I guess!) Anyway, she is growing great, which is good since I can't seem to get her to eat anything! And before you know it, she will know her ABC's and you will be watching that video on my blog!

Brooke's latest changes!

Well, I cannot believe that brooke is now 2 years old! 241/2 months! It's just crazy! She is so smart and so funny, with her little girl attitude and her hilarious fake laugh that she does! I know that most of my blogs are about her, so everyone knows a few things that she does, but seriously, since she turned 2, I swear that she just got twice as smart, twice as bossy, twice as funny and twice as cute! I wanted to tell everyone what exactly I mean by this with examples: Since turning 2, she has learned to zip up her coat( that includes hooking the zipper first!), she now says "bless you" when you sneeze, " 'scuse you" when you burp, and " please" and "thank you" almost everytime she gets something. And she has also figured out that daddy will give her pretty much anything she wants if she looks at him with her cute little face and says "Pleeeaase Daddy?" That string that she has him on is wrapped so tight around her finger, that it should be turning purple and falling off soon!! And every morning she HAS to put on her "lip stick" (its lipgloss!), put lotion on her hands and arms, perfume on her neck, and anything else that mommy does too! She has also learned how to do this fake laugh that she throws back her head, slaps her leg and laughs so hard that you just cant help but bust up laughing with her! Somehow she has also learned to play pretend. Typical I know, but what I saw her doing just made my jaw drop!! She was in her room playing with her dollhouse, and she had the mommy talking about how to put the babies in their carseats. Then she grabbed the daddy one and started talking to the mommy with a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT voice! I have no idea where she learned that from! I was just staring at her in amazement! Her bossyness has gotten worse also! She will tell us to "sit there!" while she plays, she has to go "first" up the stairs, and if she wants something she can't reach, she will tell us to "get!" She has learned to put so many words together in the last 2 weeks and she can almost say complete sentences now! Her newest ones are: "I busy", "Mommy reach it","What doing?", "What happened?", "I get you!", "come get me!", "I hiding", "I mad!", and there are so many more that i cant think of right now! And she has started this new thing, that when she wakes up in the morning she says, " 1,2,3 open door mommy!" Cracks me up every time! She will say it over and over until I go in there! She has been put in time out more often when she needs it now that she understands more about what it is, and it seems to be working. She does drive us crazy sometimes, but we always end up laughing about it at the end of the day! We will begin potty training soon, I just need to go get the plastic panties! We have a potty chair and she knows what "potty" is and what you do on it. It's a good start. I will keep an update on that one!

On Christmas Eve, we were telling Brooke that she needed to go to bed so Santa could bring her presents. She moves around alot in this video, but you can hear her telling us what he will bring her! Listen closely and watch the looks on her face! It is so funny!
