Today we took Brooke to Discovery Gateway. It is a great place for kids to learn about different things and just run around and play with everything. They have a treehouse with a little table and chairs, little slides, a market with tons of play food, cash registers, and shopping baskets. They have a big area that has tubes like the bank drive thru and when you put plastic balls in it, they get sucked up and around all different ways. They also have a big water area that has lots of gadgets to use with little plastic balls. You can put the ball in one thing and the water makes it swim to another part of the table! Brooke loved that! She spent an hour there at least! Here are a few pics:

Putting the ball in one of the bank tubes...

She was being stubborn here. She wouldnt play so I could take a picture!

She was putting scraps of paper in this thing and the fan would blow it up and out! She kept saying, " I did it! I did it!"

Brooke and her baby... She HAD to bring it in!

Daddy and Brooke in a real Helicopter! It is a Life Flight one that they have on display.

So Cute!

Playing with the balls and water! Her favorite thing here!

Looking for a ball...

Brooke in the treehouse! Its just her size! (We dont know the other girl...)

We need one of these at our house!

Crap.

So this year seems to be ending on a bad note. Kenny just got demoted to assistant bakery manager. That is a 12,000 dollar a year pay cut! His boss just told him that he wanted a 12 million dollar store and with kenny there he didnt see it happening. Rude, considering that since kenny has been there he has gotten labor down, sales up, inventory costs down, and has gotten rewarded several times for great customer service. All of his employees respected him, and customers have even tried to recruit him to work for them just based on his customer service. Not to mention that he is getting a bonus because his numbers were so good. Doesnt make much sense to me. For the last 2 months, he has been working about 70 hours a week, only getting 1 day off a week. He has seen Brooke for maybe 2 or 3 hours before she goes to bed, and all that time away from us was for nothing pretty much. Thank you for listening to me vent. Wish us luck this WONDERFUL holiday season. Pleh.

This is Brookes favorite puzzle! She will do it over and over. She has learned and remembered what the circle, star and heart are, and knows what the triangle is but cant say it yet. Oh, by the way, her new favorite word is Tinkerbell. She slips that in too! Push Play!
