Updates!

Hmmm.... Kenny got a new job! He now works at Souper Salad as the Assistant Manager. He wanted this job very much and is looking forward to being able to move up in the company! This job has benefits, vacation time, Discounts, (WooHoo!) and LOTS of room to grow as a manager!

There is not much new with me. I still get to stay at home with Brooke and Lately we have been going to the library alot. we try different ones to get different books to read and movies to watch. I like to sit on the back patio, and watch Brooke play in the sand while I get some sun! I am happy to say that my legs are not transparent anymore!

Brooke is doing many new things! She can almost say the alphabet, she only misses afew letters. I know she can count to ten, but she cant always remember the number 4! She learned how to sing ring around the rosies and its her favorite thing to play! She is getting more sassy and I wanted to share some examples of what I mean:

Brooke: I want my sippy mommy! (as I am getting on the freeway)
Me: you will have to wait Brooke. I am driving on the freeway and I cant reach it or I will crash.
Brooke:Use you udder hand!

I had to just laugh at that! Another one:

Her and Kenny were playfully arguing on the bed, watch T.V. Neither one even looked up.

Kenny: Move, Brooke!
Brooke: I not doing nussing!
Kenny: (laughed and said)Damn you!
Brooke: Whatever daddy!
Kenny: Fool
Brooke: SHUT UP! (then she slammed her hands over her mouth cuz she knows shes not supposed to say that, and said "oh shit!"

I was laughing so hard! I couldnt help myself! Like that is any better than shut up! She is usually telling us, "Its not shut up, its be quiet!"

She has quite the little personality now! She dances all over the place, anytime she hears music, and is always the first one to call us on something we say or do that she knows isnt right! I Have a feeling she is going to be our little hall monitor!

Update on Kenny!

So Kenny went back to the heart doctor last week and they basically told him that he has to live with with heart problem for the rest of his life, However long that may be. The procedure that they did to fix his heart, only fixed one of the problems. But the Atrial Fibrillation is much harder to fix and has a higher risk of a major complication or death. So he has to be on medication for the rest of his life. He had to bring a heart monitor home that day to wear for 24 hours so they can see what his heart was doing while he slept. Well in the middle of the night in his sleep, he pulled it off. He didnt realize it because he was still sleeping. When he woke up, he reattached it, and called the nurse to tell her what happened. She said they like it to be on for 24 hours, but if he couldnt handle it anymore, he could bring it in. so he did. Later she called and said that his heart was beating really fast and they were wondering if he was doing anything to make it race like that. But he didnt do anything. He is fidgety all the time and can never hold still for too long, so that maybe played a part in it. Anyway, they upped the dosage on the pill that keeps his heart rate down and added another prescription to 2 he already had to take. I cant remember what that one does. In 3 months, he has to go back and have another check up. I will keep you all posted.

Update on Kenny!!

Kenny had a Doctor appt on wednesday for his heart. The doctor was going to take him off a medicine and cut another one down to a lesser amount. He listened to Kennys heart and decided to get an EKG to make sure he was hearing it right. He got the EKG and it turns out that his heart is out of rhythm again. The procedure that fixed the SVT (Superventricular tacchicardia)had worked but didnt keep the atrial fibrillation in rhythm. So he has to wait for the doctor to get back in town to make an appt with him. They may have to do another ablation or just do another cardioversion (shock his heart). We wont know for another week or 2. Is everything going to go back to normal soon or is this the kind of life we will live for the rest of it? Its aggravating. Every time we think it might be ok, something else is thrown at us. Its getting harder to be strong and not lose my mind and not have a complete meltdown. I just have to look at Brooke's little face and remember why its important to be strong and to hang on. Its a good thing we have her!

Cocoa's Puppies!

Cocoa had her puppies on April 24th. She had 8 of them! She is full bred chihuahua and was mated with a full bred chihuahua! Sadly 2 days later one of them died. he was the runt and when he was born, cocoa chewed the umbilical cord too short and he bled alot. Unfortunately it was the puppy I wanted to keep. But so far, the rest are doing just fine, some are way bigger than the others. A few are still about the birth size and others are 2 or 3 times as big!

On Wednesday, Ashley brought her kids over to play outside. Brooke misses them so much! She loves those kids to death! She tries to help Maddie any chance she gets and hugs and kisses her all the time! And she loves chasing Jaydan around even if he's running to get away from her! They had a blast playing together! In the swimming pool, the sandtable and just running around! I am pretty sure they will be lifelong friends! We hope they will come over more often this summer to have lots of fun outside!
